Students are able to use the on campus facilities, including the Pitt Recreation Center. The food staff is promising quality meals, and we will be using SHU mini-vans to shuttle us to and from our off-campus functions.

Dr. John Michniewicz is Assistant Professor and Director of the Academic Music Program at the university so the staff is anxious to work with our POE staff, many of whom they know from supporting SHU musical events. Other Greater Bridgeport AGO members and staff at SHU, and for our POE, include Dr. Joe Utterback and Galen Tate.

Our Organ - Casavant Freres - III/23 ranks

A Unique Facade

Casavant was proud to be part of this unique setting. The new mechanical action organ built by Casavant in a French style has three manuals, including two under expression, and at completion will have 29 stops and 35 ranks of pipes. The case was designed through collaboration between Sasaki Associates and Didier Grassin of Casavant, featuring sets of facade pipes "floating" in front of a wooden scrim. It contrasts the linear verticality of polished tin with fluid layers of wood.
